Empowering Lives Through Personalised Yoga

I have been practicing Yoga for the last 10 years, and achieved my first Yoga certification in 2018, after which I officially became a Yoga Teacher. After finishing this first certification, I found a purpose in teaching Yoga to other people, encouraging them to work on whatever they needed to feel happier, whether it was in a physical sense, in a mental sense, or as it usually happens, a combination of both.

I then decided it was time to dig dipper, and specialise in therapeutic yoga, to be able to deal with more challenging scenarios, like cancer, neurological mobility diagnosis and mental health realities such as depression, stress and anxiety. To accomplish this I achieved two Therapeutic Yoga certifications.

Within these Yoga creditations I found one subject that I am very passionate about in Women´s Health: perimenopause, menopause and post-menopause. To pursue this further I studied the impact of Yoga during a woman´s different life cycles and the understanding of how the female body articulates the  changes during these cycles, not only physically but also mentally and emotionally.

In addition to the above, I have also focussed on serious health conditions like Cancer, Arthritis. At Clear Cut Yoga, I specialise in tailored private classes that enhance physical, emotional, and mental well-being, catering to all levels and specific needs.

In 2020, at 70 years old, and in the midst of the pandemic that forced us to stay at home, what better option than to accept Martha's invitation to do yoga online with her. At first, I started with fear because I had not done yoga before and, furthermore, I had no experience of attending online classes. Gradually, with Martha's excellent direction, her great patience in guiding us and her great ability to describe and show the different asanas, we moved forward. Martha was always very willing to guide the different movements to each person according to their skills and interests. With the pertinent use of the appropriate prompts for each of the positions such as the yoga mat, the blocks, the bolster, the strap, the chair, we all improved our yoga skills and health.
